KnowBe4 Administrator Toolkit - Get started
Getting Started
- Registration: Once the administrator has enabled your account, you will receive an email from KnowBe4 with instructions on how to register for the training. Please follow the link provided to set up your account.
- Training Schedule: Leadership for your local entity will determine the pace and content of the security awareness program based on your agency’s specific demands. The training may consist of a few or several modules, which you can complete at your own pace. Training will be required at regular intervals to ensure awareness is up to date with the latest threats.
- Technical Requirements: Ensure you have access to a computer with internet connectivity and audio capabilities. The training may include videos, quizzes, and interactive content depending on the module.

The KnowBe4 training program includes the following cybersecurity modules that may be used in the program:
- Cybersecurity Fundamentals: Introduction to the basics of cybersecurity, including definitions and the importance of cybersecurity in the workplace.
- Phishing: Learn to identify and avoid phishing attacks, one of the most common methods used by cybercriminals.
- Password Security: Best practices for creating strong passwords and managing them effectively.
- Browsing Safely: Tips for safe internet browsing, including recognizing secure websites.
- Email Security: Guidelines for managing emails safely, including identifying malicious attachments and links.
- Social Engineering: Understanding social engineering tactics and how to protect against them.
- Mobile Device Security: Best practices for securing mobile devices and the importance of regular updates.
- Data Protection: Principles for protecting sensitive information, both personal and organizational.
- Working Remotely: Security considerations for remote work, including the use of VPNs and secure Wi-Fi networks.
Recommended Trainings
- Quizzes: Some modules includes a quiz to test your understanding of the material. You must score at least 80% to pass.
- Certification: Upon successful completion of all modules and quizzes, you will receive a certification of completion from KnowBe4.
