Naloxone Administration Heatmap

The Naloxone Administration Heatmap shows where naloxone was administered and reported by EMS providers throughout Indiana. EMS providers report the locations where patients were administered naloxone (also known by the brand name Narcan) when an opioid overdose is suspected. The drug reverses the effects of an opioid overdose to save patients' lives.

The data on the map comes from EMS provider reports provided to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, which are then analyzed by the Indiana Management Performance Hub. The map shows administrations since January 1, 2014.
