Where Do I Park if I Am Required to Report for Jury Service?
Approximately two weeks before your assigned month of jury service, you will receive a letter containing important information about your jury service, including designated parking instructions.
Please refer to this letter for specific parking information and instructions for jurors.
Parking Information for Court and Justice Building Visitors:
Morton Street Garage – 220 N. Morton Street
- Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Parking is $0.50 per hour.
- Parking is free on Sundays and official City holidays.
- This is the most affordable parking option.
- Payment is made when you exit the garage. There is no need to monitor a parking meter or worry about your time expiring if your court proceeding runs longer than expected.
On-Street Parking Meters
- Parking is $1.00 per hour.
- Payment is required when you park.
- If your meter expires, you may receive a parking citation.
Court Proceedings Running Longer Than Expected
Please be aware that being delayed in court does not automatically excuse an expired parking meter or guarantee that a parking citation will be dismissed. You may appeal a citation; however, submitting an appeal does not guarantee that it will be approved.
Appealing a Parking Citation
Appeals must be submitted in writing within 14 calendar days of the citation date. Appeals may be submitted through online parking ticket appeal form or in person at the City Clerk’s office located at 401 N. Morton St., Bloomington, IN 47404.
