How do you know if it's an officially trusted site?

The State of Indiana websites often end in in.gov, but there are .com or .org websites that also exist. To prevent phishing and other security scams an official banner is placed at the top of the website or application that shows the Indiana State flag and a message that it is an officially trusted site.

If you see a website that ends in .com and claims to be from the State of Indiana that is not listed on this page, do not trust it.
