Heavy Trash Day

Marion County provides trash collection service to the town. Its current contractor is LRS.

Each Clermont household may place a maximum of two (2) items of heavy trash out for collection the second full week of each month.

You can confirm trash pickup details using the county's lookup tool to find your address.

Per the county, heavy trash "generally consists of bulky items that would not fit into your trash cart."

Common Heavy Trash Items

  • Appliances without Freon, such as a stove or water heater, For appliances with Freon, contact the Mayor's Action Center to arrange pickup.
  • Box springs and mattresses. Mattresses should be placed flat on the ground, not leaning on other objects.
  • Household furniture (couch, desk, dresser, table, chairs, etc.)
  • Lawnmowers (gas an oil must be drained first)
  • Swing sets and disassembled bicycles (assembled bicycles must be properly labeled)
  • Yard waste (bundled limbs 3 feet in diameter and 3 feet long count as one heavy trash item)
