Skin Testing
TB skin testing is available to Porter County residents at both our Valparaiso and Portage offices. Please bring a valid picture ID when presenting for testing.

Valparaiso Office
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- No TB Skin Tests on Thursdays
Portage Office
- Monday: 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
- No TB Skin Tests Tuesday–Friday
Blood Testing
The QuantiFERON-TB Gold (QFT) blood test is a simple blood draw used to detect whether a person has been infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the bacteria that causes tuberculosis (TB).
QFT Testing is only available at our Valparaiso location.
QFT Testing Times
Valparaiso Office
- Monday: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
- Tuesday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Wednesday: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
- Thursday & Friday: No QFT testing
Important TB Testing Information
- Please bring a valid picture ID when presenting for TB testing.
- Testing schedules may be affected by government holidays and office closures.
- Please plan accordingly around holiday closures.
Tuberculosis Treatment
Physicians may refer Porter County residents for treatment of both latent tuberculosis infection and active tuberculosis disease. Treatment provided complies with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and is available free of charge to eligible patients.
