Travel Immunizations


The Porter County Health Department offers travel vaccines for adults and children.

We offer the following travel vaccines:

  • Cholera
  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • Influenza (Flu: injectable and intranasal)
  • Japanese Encephalitis
  • Meningococcal (Meningitis)
  • Rabies
  • Tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis (Tdap)
  • Tetanus-diptheria (Td)
  • Typhoid (injectable only)
  • Yellow Fever


All vaccinations are given by appointment and are offered at our Valparaiso office on Tuesdays and at our Portage location on Mondays. For appointments and pricing information please contact one of our offices:

Vaccination requirements and recommendations vary depending on a person's travel destination. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention offers a user-friendly website for finding this information as well as providing tips on preventing some illnesses common to travelers.
