State employees who have a username and password for a computer connected to the state network and use PeopleSoft Human Resources (HR) for Time & Attendance or Open Enrollment now only have to remember one password for both logins. IOT Customer Service recently integrated the two passwords to reduce confusion for state employees. Please note: users still need to use their PeopleSoft HR ID (first initial of your first name plus the last six digits of your state employee ID) to log in.

Network usernames and passwords are required to log on to a state-issued computer that is connected to the Internet via the state network. Typically, usernames are first initial of your first name followed by your complete last name. For example, Joe Smith’s username is jsmith. Your password would be something of your choosing.

No. Network usernames and passwords are only good on state-issued computers.

Yes, if you have a state e-mail account or use VPN or Citrix to access work files, you have a network username and password.
Q: Do I need to change my PeopleSoft HR password to match my network password?
No! Simply log in to PeopleSoft HR using your network password once and it will recognize that password for all future PeopleSoft HR log ins.
Q: I don’t use a state issued computer. Has my PeopleSoft HR password changed?
No. IOT did not reset your PeopleSoft HR password. Please see Open Enrollment 2008 information to determine PeopleSoft HR password resets.
