Equipment Reservations Calendar
This calendar shows all equipment reservations that have been approved and confirmed by the Academy. Newly submitted (unapproved) requests will not be shown.
Select a piece of equipment to learn more details about a reservation, such as its location.
If there is an arrow inside a triangle at the bottom-right corner of a date on the calendar, that indicates there are more equipment reservations than are shown by default. Select the arrow to expand the calendar to see more reservations on that date.
Note: The reservation calendar does not display in a calendar view on mobile devices. Use a computer for the best experience, or select the toggle button at the top of the calendar to view the calendar in a spreadsheet view or list view.
Reservation Requests
Requests for equipment are accepted at all times. However, the Academy strongly encourages departments to plan well in advance for reservation requests. Equipment reservations are approved quarterly, meaning the deadline for submitting requests is 90 days prior to the next quarter. This allows Academy staff sufficient time to schedule equipment in a manner that best accommodates logistics and regional training needs.
All requests must be submitted for each three-month period (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4) by the start of the previous quarter. See the following schedule:
Request Deadline Schedule
Quarter | Requested Reservation Dates (When Equipment Needed) | Request Deadline |
---|---|---|
First quarter (Q1) | January, February, March | October 1 |
Second quarter (Q2) | April, May, June | January 1 |
Third quarter (Q3) | July, August, September | April 1 |
Fourth quarter (Q4) | October, November, December | July 1 |
All Requests Tentative
- All submitted reservation requests are tentative and will not display on the reservations calendar until after the Academy has confirmed details of a request with the requestor and approved the reservation.
- Academy staff manually review and process all equipment requests. Reservation decisions are based on equipment availability and location regionally.
- Please do not plan on or publicize use of any requested equipment until after receiving follow-up approval and confirmation from the Academy. Academy staff will follow up directly with requesting agencies before reservations are confirmed.
- Notification of decisions regarding reservation requests will occur at least 30 days prior to the next quarter.
Request Guidelines
- The request form requires a preferred start and end date for equipment use, as well as two backup time periods. Keep in mind that, in general, equipment is available for a maximum of two weeks.
- Submit requests for multiple types of equipment for the same time period as separate (different) requests.
