To schedule an inspection, please contact the Floyd County Building and Development Office by phone at (812) 981-7611 or by email at building@floydcounty.in.gov.
Please have the following information available:
- Your name and your contact number
- Permit number
- Site address, lot number, and subdivision name if applicable
- Type of inspection needed
- Time of inspection before you pour concrete and arrival time of concrete
Work must be completed properly at the time of inspection. A $50.00 re-inspection fee may be charged if work is not ready for inspection at the time requested.
Inspections Required:
- Temp pole-done in conjunction with footer, wall, or plumbing ground rough
- Footers-when forms are set and before concrete is poured
- Walls-when forms are set and before concrete is poured
- Plumbing-ground rough-in
- Framing/All rough-ins
- Service-electric companies are notified the next business day
- Final-all work is complete (including outside grading)
Inspection Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00 am - 11:30 am and 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
