The Electric Department’s normal hours of operation are from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern, Monday through Friday.
The electric department constructs install and manages new circuits for individual electric services including subdivisions. They maintain overhead and underground electric distribution systems and inspect substations. Their duties include reading meters, removing and trimming brush and trees away from electric distribution lines, and maintaining all trucks and equipment.
