Learn about current trends in Indiana's Education-to-Workforce Pipeline
Indiana’s Education and Workforce Development (EWD) system is a large-scale, longitudinal data initiative within MPH. By combining disparate datasets from multiple state agencies, researchers can utilize these specialized datasets to answer key questions about the education and workforce efforts within the State of Indiana. This effort allows stakeholders such as education professionals, employers, policymakers, students, community leaders and the public to use data and information previously not available. EWD does not replace agency data collection or administration responsibilities. Rather, it serves as a clearinghouse where data elements can be combined and utilized across the partnering agencies while maintaining responsible data management, data privacy and deidentification standards.
Understanding Pathway Changes
This study replicates research outlined in Georgetown University's "What Works: Ten Education, Training, and Work-Based Pathway Changes that Lead to Good Jobs" (May 2023) and adapts the study from a nationwide assessment to specifically focus on the state of Indiana. This report highlights results of examining nine of the ten pathway changes to identify which pathways are most effective in Indiana's context.
