Food Safety

The Food Safety Program enforces the state and local codes regulating the foodservice industry in Jasper County. This applies to year-round retail food establishments, as well as, temporary facilities and farmers' markets. Enforcement and service areas are listed below:

  • Construction consultations
  • Plan reviews
  • Complaint investigations
  • Food sample collections
  • Foodborne investigations

Payment options are cash, money orders, checks, and credit cards for food permits.
Please note: These permits are non-refundable and non-transferable and there is a credit card fee.

  • Annual Food Permits - $200.00 **Late fee of $100.00 will be added to the annual food permit price if applications are received after January 1st.**
  • Seasonal Food Permit (6 months) - $80.00
  • Temporary Food Permit (per event, 1 to 14 days) - $35.00

**Scheduled pre-operational visits will receive a $35.00 rescheduling fee if the establishment does not meet state requirements**
