Environmental Health

Environmental health is defined as "the discipline that focuses on the health interrelationships between people and their environment, promotes human health and well-being, and fosters a safe and healthful environment."

The Environmental Health Program is responsible for the following enforcement and service areas listed below.

  • Residential onsite sewage systems
  • Water well permits
  • Vector control-mosquito control briquettes
  • Complaints about unfit housing
  • Environmental complaints
  • Tattoo & Body piercing parlors
  • Public Pools

Payment options are cash, money orders, checks, and credit cards for septic and wells. Note: Septic and well permits are non-refundable and are good for one (1) year and there is a credit card fee.

  • Conventional septic system - $250.00
  • Mound system - $450.00
  • Septic Installer Yearly Registration - $250.00

Water Well Permits

  • Permit to drill a new or replacement well - $150.00
