The Jasper County Health Department's goal is to coordinate plans on how to respond before, during, and after any incident that would involve a health response including bioterrorism, natural disasters, pandemic influenza, smallpox, and avian influenza, and any other public health emergency. The office is also working to educate the public on how to prevent the spread of any pandemic outbreaks and on how to plan and respond to a public health emergency.
