Summer STEP Student Application
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Friday, March 20, 2026
STEP (Student Training and Employment Program) is a two-week summer paid internship for high school students (ages 16–22) who are blind or
have low vision and want hands-on experience in real workplaces.
Program Dates: Mandatory Check-in: Sunday, June 14, 2026
Work Weeks: Monday, June 15 – Friday, June 26, 2026
A few important reminders:
* Applying does not guarantee acceptance. Applications are reviewed to ensure readiness, safety, and the best program fit so every student is
supported and set up for success.
* Prior job experience is not required—a willingness to learn and try new things is what matters. STEP is about growth, effort, and building confidence—not perfection.
