- Pay down student loans. Some INPRS members may qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF). Check if you're eligible!
- Contribute money toward your retirement account so compound interest can get to work!
- Build a strong credit score to make major purchases (like your first home) more accessible.
Mid Career
- Seek professional guidance. A qualified financial advisor can give you advice on investments, insurance, and long-term planning.
- Try to eliminate all non-mortgage consumer debt.
- Create a plan for when you pass away so your survivors and beneficiaries are prepared: a will, life insurance, etc.
Late Career
- Attend an INPRS Benefits Workshop to understand your options.
- Pay off all loans and mortgages so you can enter retirement debt-free.
- Eligible to retire but not ready to stop working? Check out our Millie Morgan option. You may be eligible to receive your pension benefit while working.
