Annual Housing Progress and Status Reports
In accordance with IC 5-20-1-28.5, beginning January 1, 2027, each local unit of government that exercises planning and zoning powers under IC 36-7-4 shall submit to IHCDA and to the Executive Director of the Legislative Services Agency a Housing Progress Report. Local unit of government means a county, city, or town.
In accordance with IC 5-20-1-29, beginning January 1, 2027, each local unit of government, regardless of the exercise of planning and zoning powers, shall submit to IHCDA and to the Executive Director of the Legislative Services Agency a Housing Status Report. Local unit of government means a county, city, or town.

All submissions must be made electronically through the submission portal. The submission portal will open on January 1, 2027 and close on January 31, 2027 at 5 p.m. Eastern Time.

2026 Public Hearing for Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) Requirement
As outlined in HEA 1001, Section 25, Title 36, Article 7, Chapter 4.3, Section 4, each local unit of government that exercises planning and zoning powers under IC 36-7-4 shall submit to IHCDA and to the Executive Director of the Legislative Services Agency a report on their required 2026 Public Hearing for Unified Development Ordinance. Local unit of government means a county, city, or town. IHCDA will collect required information on behalf of Legislative Services Agency.
