A message from the Chairman, Palermo Galindo
¡Bienvenido a nuestra comisión! Welcome to our commission!
I’m honored to be elected by my fellow board members and serve as chairman of the Indiana Commission for Hispanic and Latino Affairs. It is a tremendous privilege to collaborate with a diverse board composed of dedicated and distinguished Latino leaders throughout the wonderful state of Indiana.
Our board strives to fulfil the ICHLA mission to promote economic, educational and social equity. As the number of Latinos grows in the state, we are committed to finding solutions and opportunities for integration and representation.
One of ICHLA’s recent priorities has been to listen to our communities across the state in order to gain a meticulous insight into the opportunities, challenges, and concerns of our communities. By participating in the surveys, we hope to increase our reach statewide, be proactive in our service and implement suggestions for ways that we as an organization can better help address and resolve challenges of the communities.
Our communities continue to positively strengthen Indiana's economy with vast entrepreneurial contributions, academic achievements, and civic participation.
I look forward to working with you and let’s keep Indiana moving forward! ¡Adelante!
