2026 National School Lunch Program (NSLP) Equipment Grant

Applications for the 2026 National School Lunch Program (NSLP) Equipment Grant are being accepted through Saturday, October 31, 2026. The Indiana Department of Education’s (IDOE’s) School Nutrition Team is pleased to announce that Indiana has received $443,185 from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to award Equipment Assistance Grants for fiscal year (FY) 2026.

Public school districts are eligible to apply if they participate in NSLP. School Food Authority’s (SFA) that are private schools or Residential Child Care Institutions (RCCI) can apply if participating in NSLP. Priority will be given to schools where at least 50% of the students are eligible for free or reduced-price meals and have not previously received an equipment grant.

Find the online application at FY 2026 NSLP Equipment Assistance Grant Application Form. The preferred browser for completing the application is Google Chrome. Other browsers may not be compatible.

Applications must be electronically submitted by Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET. Applications submitted late, or incomplete, may not be accepted. Grant awards will be announced by Friday, November 27.

To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form which can be obtained online at: https://www.usda.gov/sites/default/files/documents/ad-3027.pdf, from any USDA office, by calling (866) 632-9992, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
