The Parke County Veteran's Administration Office assists Veterans and their dependents in preparing claims for benefits or privileges to which they may be entitled as administered by the US Department of Veterans Affairs. The office provides assistance with VA Claims, information and referral services and help in obtaining benefits and support for Veterans and their families.

Thompson's College of Cosmetology, in collaboration with Parke County Veterans Service Office and VFW Paul Taylor Post 1752, will be hosting a monthly "Free Veterans Cuts Day", on the last Thursday of the month from 1pm - 5pm, beginning September 25th 2025. Veterans must call Thompson's College of Cosmetology at (765) 569-5504 for an appointment. Walk-ins will be turned away. Please be sure to bring proof of Veteran status.
