Parke County COVID-19 Working Group

The Parke County COVID-19 Work Group conducts weekly meetings in order to maintain awareness of the current COVID-19 outbreak and its effects on the county. The group ensures that relevant parties understand information gained from various federal, state and local agencies and community groups. Representatives from the County Commissioners, the Parke County Sheriff’s Office, the Parke County Health Department, the Parke County Emergency Medical Service, and the Parke County Emergency Management Agency participate in the meetings.

The county's emergency services are fully functional. The Sheriff’s Office and Emergency Medical Service will respond to all 911 calls. The Working Group has discussed plans to deal with any surge of cases to ensure that residents of the county will receive proper treatment and care.

Additionally, Parke County maintains an adequate supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to support our first responders. We continue to search for new sources of supply that can deliver quality PPE in a timely manner to our county.

The Working Group will begin to discuss methods to reopen the county offices while ensuring public safety.
