About the Redevelopment Commission
Indiana Redevelopment Commissions are local government bodies established to promote economic development and address blighted, underutilized, or economically distressed areas within a community. They have the authority to create and manage Tax Increment Financing (TIF) districts, acquire property, fund infrastructure projects, and partner with private developers to encourage investment, job creation, and community revitalization. Their primary goal is to improve property values and attract growth in targeted redevelopment areas.
