Perry Township is governed by a three-member township board. Each board member must be a resident of Perry Township. All three positions are elected in the same four-year election cycle which occurs during the national midterm elections. There are no term limits. The township board members are currently Dan Kirtley (since 2016), Randy Hunnicutt (since 2017), and Ken Banning (since 2023).
The chief executive officer and chief financial officer is the township trustee, who also must be a resident of the township. The trustee is elected during the same four-year cycle as the township board. There are no term limits. The trustee is currently Dan Hollenberg (since 2008).
The township does not have any employees other than the four elected officials.
