Sewer Bill Due Date Extended to August 21, 2026

At its August 18 meeting, the Porter Town Council approved a one-time extension of the sewer bill due date in response to the severe storm that impacted the Town on August 11.
Sewer customers will now have through Friday, August 21, 2026, to make payment before late penalties are assessed. Late penalties would normally have been assessed beginning Monday, August 17.
The extension was granted in recognition of the widespread power outages, storm damage, phone and internet service disruptions, road closures, and restricted travel experienced throughout the community following the severe weather event that resulted in the declaration of a Local Disaster Emergency for the Town of Porter. These conditions may have limited customers' ability to access or make timely utility payments.
Customers who have not yet paid their sewer bill are encouraged to make payment by August 21, 2026 to avoid a late penalty.
