5-2-1-0 Healthy Every Day!
Four daily habits that support healthy lifestyles for children and families: eat more fruits and vegetables, limit screen time, stay physically active, and choose water over sugary drinks. These small, consistent choices help promote better nutrition, increased movement, and overall well-being.

School Wellness Hub
Purpose:
The School Wellness Hub exists to support schools in Morgan County in promoting the health, well-being, and academic success of every student. Through collaboration, best practices, and sustainable partnerships, we provide resources, training, and support that empower and equip schools to create environments where students and staff can thrive physically, mentally, and socially.
The WSCC model is student-centered, emphasizing the importance of family and community involvement in youth health outcomes, the link between health and learning, and evidence-based policies and practices. Schools play a critical role in promoting the health and safety of youth and in establishing lifelong healthy behaviors.
Goals and Objectives:
- Increase student and staff attendance by increasing access to health, wellness, and preventive services.
- Expand opportunities for daily physical activity and active learning throughout the school day.
- Increase nutrition awareness and promote healthy eating habits through education, taste tests, and farm-to-school initiatives.
Strengthen Mental Health and Social-Emotional Supports
- Increase awareness, accessibility, and use of school-based mental health resources.
- Provide evidence-based trainings for staff and students on coping skills, resilience, and suicide prevention.
- Decrease disciplinary actions by encouraging restorative practices and strengthening positive behavioral supports.
Build Sustainable School-Community Partnerships
- Partner with schools to implement the Whole School, Whole Child, Whole Community (WSCC) Model components tailored to local needs.
- Engage families and community organizations in school wellness initiatives, events, and policy development.
