Dear Food Facility Operator:
On Jan. 8, the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) Food Protection Division announced plans to adopt 410 IAC 7-26, the Retail Food Establishment Sanitation Requirements.
Upon this adoption, 410 IAC 7-24 will be repealed, and 410 IAC 7-26 will take effect, effective April 16, 2025.
All changes to regulations will be communicated to facilities as food inspectors conduct inspections, through our partner trade associations, and official websites.
The Department will not cite violations or conduct enforcement relative to new code provisions until Jan. 1, 2026.
Your cooperation is crucial as we implement these changes which will help ensure compliance and promote the health and safety of all Hoosiers.
