Mechanic Overview
To serve as a civilian employee of the Indiana State Police whose primary responsibility is to keep all state owned vehicles in the best mechanical operating condition by performing preventative maintenance and assigned repairs.

Mechanic Staff Requirements
* Must be a high school graduate, as evidenced by a diploma or high school equivalency diploma issued by an accredited institution, or have successfully graduated from a homeschool program.
* Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
* Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
* Must be a graduate of an automative trade school, or have at least (2) years professional experience automotive maintenance and repair.
* Must have the ability to distinguish and determine colors and sounds.
* Must be able to lift heavy objects
