CATCH® My Breath Curriculum Training

CATCH® My Breath is a best-practices youth e-cigarette and JUUL prevention program developed by The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) School of Public Health. The program provides up-to-date information to teachers, parents, and health professionals to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to make informed decisions about the use of E-cigarettes, including JUUL devices. CATCH My Breath utilizes a peer-led teaching approach and meets National and State Health Education Standards.

Who should become a trainer?
Anyone working in tobacco prevention or public health, with youth, educators, parents, and more!

Each session is approximately 3 hours long. During this time, participants will learn more about youth e-cigarette use throughout Indiana, efforts to address the issue, and what they can do to help. At the end of each session, participants will become a CATCH® My Breath Trainer, allowing them the ability to educate others through the program!

Sweet Deception

Fall Tour

The Sweet Deception Tour is powered by VOICE - Indiana’s statewide youth empowerment brand, whose initiative is to engage, educate and empower Hoosier teens to promote and celebrate tobacco-free lifestyles.

The sharp spike in vaping and use of e-cigarettes by students has grabbed the attention of school administrators and health professionals in Indiana and nationwide.

In response, VOICE, with the support of the Indiana Department of Health Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Commision, is making available this limited-run tour at no cost to Indiana schools.

*The Fall 2019 Tour schedule has been finalized with selected schools.

Peer Education

VOICE's Sweet Deception: Peer Education is a train-the-trainer program to engage youth and youth groups to become peer educators and promote youth advocacy across Indiana.
