Bringing the Farm Festivities to the Flag: Farm to Capitol Returns May 7
Indiana’s rich agricultural heritage is returning to the heart of downtown Indianapolis. On Thursday, May 7, 2026, Bicentennial Plaza will transform into a vibrant showcase of the industry that fuels our state. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., state employees, legislators, and the public are invited to step out of the office and onto the "farm" for the second annual Farm to Capitol celebration.
Following the success of last year’s inaugural event—where hundreds of employees enjoyed local popcorn while meeting "Malibu" the cow—this year’s celebration promises even more engagement. Hosted by Indiana’s Family of Farmers, the event serves as a vital bridge between the policymakers in the Statehouse and the hardworking Hoosiers who produce our food, fiber, and fuel.
