Emergency Rental Assistance
The Rental Assistance Portal is no longer accepting applications for the Indiana Emergency Rental Assistance (IERA) program. To receive updates about when the portal reopens, go to IndianaHousingNow.org.
If you have already been approved for assistance through the IERA program, you will not be affected by this change. However, to continue receiving assistance through the program, you are required to recertify every three months.
If you are facing eviction, you can go to www.IndianaLegalHelp.org for assistance. If you need housing counseling, call 2-1-1 to be connected with a provider in your area.
The information below is only applicable if/when the IERA program reopens the Rental Assistance Portal.
Important Note: Renters living in Hamilton County and Marion County (Indianapolis) are not eligible to apply for the IERA program. Households living in these areas must apply for rental assistance with their local municipality unless an eviction case has been filed, in which case renters may apply to IERA for the Eviction Diversion Program.
