FSSA Grants Office
The FSSA Grants Office is the keystone to identifying, applying for, and supporting federal grant projects and activities. Federal project and discretionary grants support the implementation of best practices for the expansion of existing programs, and for innovative strategic planning beyond state funding. By collaborating with leadership and the State Budget Agency, the FSSA Grants Office is able to engage with divisions, and support them in navigating the policies, priorities, and federal grant decisions.
The FSSA Grants Office maintains extensive resources to aid divisions in developing strong, fundable grant applications, and ensure the successful implementation of projects and programs funded by federal grant awards.
In the past, the Grants Office has served as a central information repository for all grants awarded to the FSSA, including both funded, and non-funded, formula grants and applications. The implementation of the Euna Solutions (formerly eCivis) federal grants management system has expanded the capacity for information sharing among divisions. Using Euna Solutions has allowed the Grants Office to create an extensive archive that provides divisions with access to detailed information regarding all active grants, projects, and programs.
The implementation of Euna Solutions has allowed the Grants Office to streamline the monitoring process of federal funding subrecipients. The office also aids divisions in the facilitation and administration of grant program activities and is available to provide technical assistance when needed.
Cultivating this broad context understanding empowers the Grants Office to identify grant opportunities that address the specific needs of each division. Fostering the connections between complementary agency initiatives allows the FSSA to build upon the success of beneficial projects and programs throughout the community.
Strategic Priorities:
- Connect FSSA with pertinent funding opportunities
- Build capacity within FSSA to apply for and manage grants
- Ensure reliable stewardship of taxpayer dollars
- Nurture external partnerships to maximize impactful funding statewide
- Raise awareness of successful federally funded programs and upcoming award opportunities
