C.R.E.S.T. - Care and Restoration through Emotional Stress and Trauma
What Is CREST?
The CREST Team at NDI is a Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) team made up of peer staff members trained to offer psychological first aid and emotional support after a traumatic or highly stressful event in the hospital.
CISM is an adaptive method of mental health support that helps normalize reactions, mitigate the effects of stress, and promote a return to normal productivity.
What Does CREST Do?

- Offers focused listening and emotional first aid in a safe, non-judgmental space
- Aims to help staff process events, reduce stress impact, and restore well-being
