Indiana's Promoted Industry Certifications

Indiana’s List of Promoted Industry Certifications is a list of certifications that have undergone a rigorous process for inclusion and promotion in the state.  To be included on the list, a certification must be both recognized and valued by industry, must have transference to post-secondary training programs and must lead to quality employment.  Certifications will be reviewed annually to ensure that the list remains relevant to current industry needs.

Indiana's Promoted Industry Certification Application

Schools, employers and workforce boards may apply to add an industry recognized certification to the state's approved list by submitting the Industry Certification Application. Indiana's Promoted Industry Certification Application. .  (As Google Forms does not allow you to save and return to the application later, please first review this PDF of the Industry Certification Application to ensure you are prepared with all required documentation.)

It is our goal to maintain a list of promoted Industry Certifications that is consistently relevant to and valued by employers.  Therefore, it will be necessary to sometimes remove certifications from the list that have lost their currency.  Please utilize the below form to bring a promoted certification that is perhaps no longer relevant to our attention. Applications to add certifications will be accepted through December 15 of each year and will be reviewed each January of the new year. The new list will be published each March on the DWD website and also released to the public. Indiana’s List of Promoted Industry Certification impacts both school accountability and the Graduation Pathways.
