As Congress passed the COVID-19 CARES ACT, a major component is the temporary weekly increase and special provisions for unemployed workers.  While plans are being put into place to get the additional relief to impacted Hoosier workers as soon as possible, we don’t have the answers yet, and as soon as the final determinations are made, we will post the information on this page and the DWD COVID-19 page.

Please note that Executive Order 20-12 did suspend the one week waiting period for UI benefits for those impacted by COVID-19. The suspension is retroactive to the week of March 8, 2020. This means that benefits will be paid for the first week you are eligible starting with the week of March 8th.
