Summer school is a state reimbursable program which allows Indiana’s school corporations and public charter schools to provide summer school courses for students in elementary, middle, and high school.
2025 Summer School Program
Change language to “Eligible programs were approved by the State Board of Education at their January 2025 meeting. The eligible course list can be found on their website.
Important Dates
- Monday, February 17 - Window opens to submit summer school Estimated Costs Report and List of courses
- Tuesday, April 1- Deadline for submission of summer school Estimated Costs Report and List of Courses
- Friday, May 9 - IDOE will publish the expected level of state reimbursement based on the estimated expenditures submitted for all school corporations, charter schools, and non-public schools.
- July 2025 - Information regarding submittal of the Final Cost Report will be published
- Monday, September 15 - Deadline for submission of the summer school Final Cost Report
- November 2025 - Summer school instructional costs reimbursements made to school corporations.
