Meeting Minutes
The meeting is called to order at 11:00am.
Members Present: Jack Davis, Barb Sturbaum, Susie Hamilton, Dan Combs
Non-members Present: Sharon Yoder, Branden Surigao, Serena Loewenthal, Nancy Duncan, Carol Kugler
Rainy Day Fund
Dan explains to the board that we are over the Township Assistance budget by 2%. Dan also explains that with the government shut down just now being lifted and SNAP benefits still not being reinstated that our food pantry has had more demand as well as the office having more requests for assistance. Serena states that we have issued 7 food vouchers in the last three weeks which is an increase. We had a total of 91 walk-ins last week and 48 walk-ins so far this week, even with the holiday. As for the food pantry out of the total 180-190 clients in October 70-80 were first time clients. Dan informs the board that money has already been appropriated from the Rainy Day Fund to be used to purchase more food for the Pantry and to put into Township Assistance if needed but he wanted to let them know that he was using more of that appropriated money and what he was using it for. Dan also discusses the possibility of hiring a part time assistant for the pantry and that the money is already in the budget for the position and he already has someone available for the position that knows the job well.
Holidays
The board is given the 2026 holiday resolution. Barb moves to approve the Holiday Resolution, Jack seconds, all approve.
Other
The upcoming meeting dates are discussed and scheduled. The next meeting is the election of officers and is scheduled for January 6, 2026 at 11am. The following meeting is the annual report meeting and is scheduled for February 12, 2026 at 11am.
