Emergency Assistance
Perry Township offers emergency short-term assistance for residents of the township.
Perry Township does not offer ongoing monthly assistance. For these services, check out the Continuing Help page. If you're looking for Food and Shelter, check out this page.
We may be able to help with basic needs, such as short-term assistance with rent, utilities, food, household items, and mortgage lenders, when no other resource is available. This assistance is not paid to you, but, instead, it is paid directly to the companies that provide the services you need (such as landlords or utility companies).
First, you will need to find out if you're a resident of Perry Township. Visit our Township Maps page and read the "Find out if You are a Perry Township Resident" section if you are unsure. If you are still unsure after checking, please call our offices to verify.
If you are a Perry Township Resident, contact our office to schedule an appointment. When you attend your appointment, you must provide us with the filled out application (see below), along with all the required additional documentation (i.e. ID, paycheck stubs, utility bills, other benefit verifications, etc.). For a full list of what to bring, check the list on What to Bring.
For a list of Subsidized and Affordable Housing options available to you, please see the Income-Based and Affordable Housing sections below.
