There’s nothing quite like Swayzee Days—a weekend where our community comes together to celebrate everything that makes small-town life so special.
Join us August 21–22 in Downtown Swayzee for two full days of family fun, local traditions, and hometown pride. Start your Saturday morning with the 5K and pancake breakfast, spend the day exploring vendors, the farmer’s market, and kids activities, and enjoy favorite events like the pet parade, bike parade, and town parade.
With food, music, contests, and activities for all ages, Swayzee Days is a weekend full of memories waiting to be made.

Swayzee Day 5K
Location: Starts at West Park | Finish at Fiberhawk Communications
Time: Race starts at 7:30 AM | Check-in opens at 7:00 AM
Kick off your morning with a relaxed, family-friendly 5K through the heart of Swayzee! Walk, jog, or run—this all-ages event is about community, connection, and small-town fun. Cross the finish line with cheers, grab a pancake breakfast, and stick around for a full day of Swayzee Day celebrations! Leashed furry friends are welcome too!
Registration includes:
- Includes medal (if registered by Aug. 25)
- Free pancake breakfast

Tractor Show
Location: West Park Baseball Field
Time: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Join us as we honor the town’s rich agricultural roots with a special tractor show in West Park, located in the outfield of the baseball diamond. We're looking for restored, antique, and vintage lawn and garden tractors—including any originally purchased in Swayzee. Tractors from historic local dealerships like John Deere, Allis Chalmers, International, and Oliver will be featured in a dedicated showcase.
Show off your tractor!
We welcome local collectors and enthusiasts to enter their equipment in the show. No cost to participate—just bring your ride and your pride!
Pancake Breakfast
Location: Town Hall
Time: 8:00 AM - 10:30 AM
Get your pancakes at the Town Hall! Bring the family down for a great breakfast! Did we mention that if you run in the Swayzee 5K, you get FREE pancakes? COME & EAT OR CARRY OUT
Silent Auction
Location: Town Hall
Time: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
This is resident-favorite! Bid on unique treasures and experiences in our silent auction during the Pancake Breakfast until 2pm. From handmade crafts to gift baskets filled with local specialties, and gift certificates, there's something for everyone!

Pet Parade
Location: West Park
Time: 10:00 AM
Dress up your pup and join the fun with this year’s theme: “The Dog Days of Summer”! Whether it’s a cute swimsuit or a tropical-inspired outfit, let your furry friend shine as they strut their stuff for the crowd.
Not participating? Come cheer on the adorable contestants and soak up the tail-wagging cuteness!
Gift baskets filled with treats, toys, and gift cards will be awarded to the top 3 pups!
Pre-registration is strongly encouraged for all participants.
Pie Baking Contest
Location: West Park Pavilion
Time: 10:30 AM
Showcase your pie baking skills and creativity in a fun and delicious way! A panel of judges will choose a winner for each category. The criteria for judging includes overall appearance, crust, filling, and taste.
Think You Bake the Best Pie in Town?
The Swayzee Farmer's Market committee will be putting together prize baskets for the winners along with the engraved pie server!
Town Parade
Location: Route runs south to north
Time: 12:00 PM
The highlight of Swayzee Day! Pick a seat on SR-13 and see the streets of Swayzee come alive with vibrant floats, displays, tractors, and more proudly displaying their Swayzee spirit.
It really is one of the best displays of the Swayzee community!

Swayzee Community Church
Location: West Park
Time: 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Stop by West Park in the afternoon for cold water and fresh popcorn, generously provided by the congregation of Swayzee Community Church—no strings attached!
Located at 306 South Washington Street, the church offers Sunday worship at 10 AM, along with a free community meal, food pantry, and clothes closet every Wednesday from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. All are welcome!
Farmer's Market
Location: Swayzee Square
Time: 8:00 AM - 4:00PM
As part of the festivities, the market will be filled with fresh, local produce, handmade goods, and friendly faces. Come support local farmers and makers—and taste the difference that hometown pride makes.
The market is organized by passionate locals who believe in bringing people together and growing a stronger Swayzee, one booth at a time.

Kids Bike Parade
Location: West Park Pavilion
Time: 11:00 AM
Calling all Swayzee kids, ages 3–12!
Let your creativity roll! Kids are invited to decorate their bikes, scooters, wagons—and even themselves—in bold, bright, and imaginative ways for this year’s “Color Your World” parade, a celebration of art, color, and self-expression. From strollers to scooters, walkers to wagons, all are welcome!
Prizes will go to the top three best displays, with 1st place winning a brand NEW BIKE!
Their imagination already runs wild—now let it ride!
Join the Kiddie Bike Parade and help your child show off their brightest, boldest look.

Local Authors: Meet N' Greet
Location: Lot at 112 S Washington St
Time: 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Come meet local authors, discover new stories, and get your favorite books signed! Browse a variety of genres and chat with the writers behind the pages. Whether you're a book lover or just curious, this is a great opportunity to support local talent and maybe even find your next great read. Books will be available for purchase, but there's no cost to stop by and say hello!

Kids Corner at Swayzee Day!

Bring the whole family and let the kids enjoy a day full of smiles and fun at the Kids Corner! We’ve got all kinds of kid-approved attractions lined up:

Movie in the Park
Location: West Park Baseball Field
Time: Movie begins at dusk
Hosted by the Swayzee Volunteer Fire Department, Chuckwagon Pizza, and the Town of Swayzee.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase—bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and the whole family!
