The Public Works Department coordinates with the Stormwater Management Board regarding the maintenance of public stormwater drains, swales and ditches. We are responsible for the repair and maintenance of public roads, alleys, curbs, and sidewalks. We are also responsible for trees within the town road and alley right-of-ways.

The Public Works Department will pick-up items, within the Town’s Brush and Leaf Rules, left at the curb by Porter residents as long as they are neatly piled (according to the rules) and can be handled by collection staff.
