2026 Beach Parking Permits SOLD OUT
Beach parking permit application forms will be posted below when the sale begins. For the first two weeks, permits are available to Porter residents only. Following this period, forms will be made available for all Indiana and Out-of-State residents.
Permits allow parking in the Town of Porter parking lot located east of the north end of Wabash Street. The parking lot is open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. seven days a week and spots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Applications will be received by MAIL ONLY. There will be no in-person sales.
- All forms must be printed from this site, filled out legibly, and mailed in with a copy of a valid driver's license and valid registration for each vehicle the permit is for. (Registrations for temporary plates are not accepted.)
- Both driver's license and registration addresses must match. The addresses must show the legal address within the Town of Porter to qualify for the Porter resident sale/rate.
- Application forms and copies MUST be mailed to the Town of Porter, 303 Franklin St., Porter, IN 46304.
- Check or money order must be sent in with your application form. No cash will be accepted.
- You will have the option of receiving your beach permit by certified mail for an additional fee of $10.00, or you may opt to pick up your beach permit at Porter Town Hall. Pick up will only be available after your application has been fully processed and you have been notified by the Town of Porter that your permit is ready to be picked up.
- There is a limit of 2 (two) permits per household.

Applications that are incomplete or contain errors or omissions will be rejected. Please ensure all required information and payment are provided accurately and completely to avoid delays or disqualification. Submitting an application does not guarantee the issuance of a permit. All sales are subject to availability, and the Town of Porter reserves the right to deny applications once the maximum number of permits has been reached.
