TOWN COUNCIL FOR TOWN OF ORLAND
DISPOSAL OF SURPLUS PROPERTY BY SEALED BIDS AT PUBLIC SALE
Pursuant to Indiana Code 5-22-22-5, Sealed bids on behalf of the Town of Orland, by the Town Council of the Town of Orland (OWNER) will receive sealed bids beginning on the first day of publication of this notice and continuing day-to-day until 12:00 p.m./noon on May 11, 2026. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the bid opening date. The bid documents to be submitted by each bidder shall consist of the full name of bidder, address of bidder and phone number of bidder, specific picnic table number and size of table, for bidding and bid amount. Bids may be forwarded individually by registered mail or delivered to Orland Town Hall, Attn: Town Council President, PO Box 445, 6035 North State Road 327, Orland, IN 46776 prior to 12:00 p.m./noon May 11, 2026. All bids received after the due date will be returned to bidder unopened. The Town of Orland wishes to sell surplus property by sealed bid, with all items being sold to the highest responsible and responsive bidder. Items for sale are all surplus property and are sold “as is” with no warranty or representation as to being in working order or functional or mechanically sound. Minimum bid of $25.00 per table.

- Items One (1) through Thirteen (13) are 6-foot wooden picnic tables
- Item 14 is an 8-foot wooden picnic table
All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 6:30 p.m. at the Orland Community Center, 9535 W SR 120 on Monday, May 11, 2026. Early viewing of the items will be by appointment only. Please contact Orland Maintenance Phil Slisher at 260-243-0993 to schedule a viewing.
Payment in full must be made within seven (7) days of bid award or next lowest bidder will be contacted. Seller does not accept payment plans or offer financing. Accepted forms of payment are Cash, Cashier’s Check or Money Order.
Delivery is not available, and all items bought must be removed by the purchaser at purchaser’s expense within seven (7) days. Items not removed within that time will be scrapped and all payments forfeited. Town of Orland is not liable for any injury to any party purchasing any item. The Town of Orland reserves the right to reject any and all bids, in part or in total, to waive any and all informalities, to negotiate contract terms with the successful bidder, and the right to disregard all non-conforming, non-responsive or conditional bids, if rejection or waiver is in the best interest of the Town of Orland’s interest and requirements.
