Book Sale
Discover your next great read at the Friends of the Library Book Sale! This popular semi-annual event attracts both casual readers and book resellers, offering a wide selection of gently used books, DVDs, children’s materials, audiobooks, yearbooks, and more.
Every purchase helps support the library, as the sale serves as a major fundraiser for the Friends of the Library and proceeds go toward funding library programs and updates each year.
You never know what literary treasures you’ll find, so come explore the FOL Book Sale!

Donate to the Book Sale
The library gets hundreds of book donations each week, and we are so grateful for them! These donations then go to one of three places:
- The Friends of the Library Spring or Fall Book Sales
- The free book shelf or Little Free Library
- The NMPL collection
Want to make a donation to the library? Here's how it works!
- ALL donations should be brought to the front desk during library open hours. Please do not leave them outside the door, where they could get stolen or damaged, or in the book drops. (This fills them up too full, and there is no room for library books to be returned!)
- We accept almost all books as long as they are clean and in good condition. We do not accept textbooks, medical books, DVDs, VHS, or cassette tapes.
- Donation amounts should not exceed what would fill one cart (roughly the size of a red Radio Flyer wagon). Unfortunately, we don't have the capacity to accept more than this at one time!
Thank you for making a difference!
