About the Program
The School Health Liaison program is available to support all K–12 schools in Howard County—public, private, and parochial—by providing resources, building strong relationships, and enhancing health services that benefit both students and staff. The goal of this program is to partner with schools to support school wellness and student health, prevent the spread of communicable and vaccine-preventable diseases, and increase education around public health topics to promote a healthy school community.
How We Operate
Our team partners closely with schools to deliver supplies, training, and connections to community resources. This includes sharps disposal kits, emergency medications, nursing office supplies, and hygiene items for students.
