Nick V. Schiavarelli, Master Instructor


...served with the Greenwood Police Department prior to joining the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy Staff and Retired from that Department With 32 years of Law Enforcement experience.  A graduate of the 40th Basic Session of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. Lieutenant Schiavarelli  has attended numerous law enforcement schools.

He has attend classes at the University of Indianapolis ,Institute of Police Technology and Management ,Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy. Lt. Schiavarelli has held numerous instructor certifications Firearms, E.V.O. ,A.S.P.,PR-24, Radar ,Physical Fitness, PPCT Defensive Tactics ,F.A.T.S., He is also a Skid Car and A.M.O.S. instructor He is also a International Driving Instructor ,and was the first Master Instructor in Indiana obtained his Certification in 1993. While he served with the Greenwood Police Department he was a member of the S.W.A.T. Unit for 15 years and the Commander of the team for 7 years. He graduate from the F.B.I. S.W.A.T. school  ,and N.R.A. Rife school at Camp Perry. Lt. Schiavarelli has been an Instructor at other State Academy's  in the field of EVO Training both the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Louisiana State Police

Lt. Schiavarelli  Served in the U.S. Army from 1966-1968 and is a Decorated Viet Nam Veteran he received a Bronze Star for Valor also a Army Commendation Medal for Valor.
