Streptococcus (Group A) Invasive Disease

What is Group A Streptococcus?

Group A Streptococcus (GAS) bacteria are contagious and can cause both minor and serious infections. GAS bacteria can cause inflammatory diseases. GAS bacteria can also be described as Streptococcus (Group A) or Streptococcal (Group A).
