What is Double Up Indiana?

Double Up Indiana provides a $1 for $1 match when you use your Hoosier Works/EBT card at participating farmers markets, farm stands, and grocery stores to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables. This program supports local farmers, local consumers, and the local economy! To learn more about Double Up Indiana, you can read our 2025 Impact Report 

If you have a Hoosier Works/EBT card, you’re automatically eligible for Double Up! With over 50 locations across Indiana, see the maps below to find a participating Double Up location near you.

SHOP AT THE GROCERY

  1. Shop for your items, including fresh fruit and vegetables.
  2. Remind the cashier that you want to take part in Double Up Indiana.
  3. Pay with your SNAP/EBT card.
  4. The cashier will:
    • Provide an immediate 50% off of all the fruits and vegetables purchased up to $20, or
    • Provide a coupon at the end of your transaction to buy fruits and vegetables on your next visit, or
    • Add up to $20 on your Double Up loyalty card which can be used to buy fruits and vegetables.
  5. Enjoy your fresh produce!

SHOP AT THE FARMERS MARKET

  1. Look for the Market Manager or Double Up information booth.
  2. Swipe your SNAP/EBT card and receive tickets, tokens, or vouchers for the amount you want to spend – you will receive the same amount of Double Up tickets, vouchers or e-incentives to spend on fruits and vegetables.
  3. Shop for fresh fruit and veggies at any vendor who displays a “We Accept Double Up Food Bucks” sign.
  4. Enjoy your fresh produce!
