SNACK CHATS

The Indiana Governor’s Council for People with Disabilities is excited to announce the launch of Snack Chats, an interactive, in-person opportunity to engage with local community members. Created in response to feedback from Hoosiers with developmental disabilities and their families, Snack Chats are designed to bring together individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD), their families, professionals and community members.

This spring and summer, we’re hitting the road with a goal of connecting with at least 400 people to listen, learn and build stronger, more inclusive communities together.

WHAT’S HAPPENING NOW

You’re invited to the GCPD Council IN Community Participant Summary Insight Session! Join us for a review of the key findings and summaries from our recent Council IN Community engagement sessions. We’ll share data, highlight major themes, celebrate community strengths and discuss common barriers. After presenting the data, we’ll invite you to share your reflections, impressions and any additional feedback. Your voice is essential in shaping the next steps of our State Plan. We look forward to continuing this important conversation with you!
