Updated Emergency Action Plan

The FSSA Emergency Action Plan has been updated and is now available for review on the Emergency Information and Procedures page, which is found in the Employee Resources section of The Hub. The EAP is designed to cover all of our sites, with the exception of the state hospitals and the Disability Determination Bureau as they already have their own plans. The new plan contains the following important information:

  • Important contact information
  • The duties of floor wardens and their designees
  • Information on Indiana Government Center’s new assembly point assignments
  • An updated map that details all of our evacuation routes upon exiting the buildings on the government center campus
  • Details on how / when to fill out incident report forms
  • Plans for fire, suspicious package, severe weather, earthquake, workplace violence, power outage, and active shooter emergencies
  • How the field offices handle continuity level events

Staff at field offices will still need to communicate with their office managers for guidance on where they are to assemble for their federally required accountability check as there are just too many locations for us to put all of them into one plan.

Additionally please remember to not run across busy streets during an evacuation unless there is no other option, follow any orders given by emergency responders, and not block emergency response vehicles.

We would prefer to not have anyone get injured trying to escape from an emergency or to block help from getting to those that need it.
