Dr. Walthall Introduces New Dress for the Day Policy for Team FSSA

On Wednesday, Feb. 20, during her all-staff update, Dr. Walthall announced a new "dress for the day" dress code for team FSSA.

Acceptable attire for both men and women includes business formal, business casual, smart casual and casual – with each employee having the freedom to decide what to wear based on what they have planned for the day.

“Our professionalism is reflected in our appearance, but not in a dress code that impairs individual choice and control,” said Dr. Walthall. “Dress for the day means look at your day and dress appropriately for the content of your day. That’s it.”

Examples of appropriate outfits shown by Dr. Walthall during her presentation are shown below.

Examples of clothing that is not permitted include torn clothing, tank/tube tops, revealing clothing, flip flops, swimwear, sleepwear, gym wear or garments with words on them.

With the new dress code effective immediately, Dr. Walthall encourages employees to work with their teams and managers on determining appropriate dress.

The new dress code policy is available to read by clicking here.
